Overhauls Site to Address Influx of Hi-Res Audio Content

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ, October 5, 2017 – Onkyo Music, a leading hi-res music download service and one of the largest sources of MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) Hi-Res today announced several exclusive Hi-Res distribution agreements with several influential Japanese music labels, including FixRecords, MAGES (5bp) and Falcom. In addition, Onkyo Music has agreed non-exclusive European distribution rights for music from Lantis. Availability of this content in the United States will be announced at a later date.

With MQA gathering traction daily, Onkyo Music is now one of the largest sources of music using the new digital audio technology. Users can currently select from a library comprising in excess of 16,000 MQA tracks, with more constantly being added.

Visitors to the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest (RMAF), taking place October 6-8 in Denver, CO will get the chance to experience MQA content on a selection of Onkyo/Pioneer Digital Audio Players and headphones.

Along with the exclusive agreements, Onkyo Music as also made improvements to the site to dramatically facilitate content discovery and curation. Changes include:
• A cleaner, faster and easier interface for more intuitive navigation;
• New visual SAYT (Suggest As You Type) functionality;
• Highlighting when MQA content is an available option;
• Better filtering and sorting across sections;
• Improved layout logic to cater for those seeking Hi-Res content
• Clear identification of albums and singles on artist pages;
• ‘Breadcrumbs’ integration for improved site navigation.

The website will be under constant development to improve the overall experience, with further enhancements (e.g. such as even more granular filtering and sorting, the ability to take PayPal/AMEX payments) set be added in the coming weeks and months.
