This is a great entry level system. It sounds great at a great price. It would be hard to beat even with higher priced systems.

Bought this system when it was $269 and received the stands for free. On top of that I got free shipping for a very large package. System was easy to setup and was working in no time. Easily the best system for the money.

high quality sound at bargain price

This system has absolutely beautiful and clean sound. It sounds just as good or better than sound from receivers twice the price of this home theater in a box. If you look at other items in its price range, it’s very clearly better than Sony and Panasonic. There's a Yamaha system that’s a notch higher in price, but I liked the sound quality from this one better. The Receiver is the jewel of the system. The speakers are real sharp looking and sound great. I only wish they sold a set of matching stands but we're getting away from affordable here. For shoppers out there looking for features, there's a lot of room for upgrading, but for what price? Among the things you might want more is an additional set of cassette inputs. Good cassette decks are single cassette models, and people typically have two of them. With this system you'd get only one cassette hook-up. Also, there's no phono input so you can't hook up your turntable. There's limited second room capability - it has A & B speakers capability, but they can't be driven from separate inputs. Also, the speaker wire supplied with the unit is very lightweight, and I just replaced it with my own speaker-wire.

I was planning to buy a Home Theater System for a while. At $269.00 it was a steal !!!. Sounds just awesome. Although I'd have liked another form of hooking up method other than the spring system. But I got the stands for free which costs $65 alone. Since the shipping was free, its a total bargain at $200. Loved it!
