DV-SP502 DVD SACD DVD-A Player

Great value for the price. I purchased this player at Onkyo's website refurbished and it looked like new; only issue was a small scratch on the aluminum front panel. This player has a great GUI set up for the price and was easy to install. Very good video playback quality for the price with Onkyo's VLC technology. Okay audio quality, if you are looking for a name brand audio dat or very low harmonic distortion you will need to spend a lot more money. Overall, great player for price ($ 139.00) Only downside is that you have to change the cable connection setting on AV/Receiver to analog to play SACD. Some players will automatically recognize this and select the correct cable setting.

Yet another solid product from Onkyo

I got this player from Circuit City because it was the best combination of money spent and features. The SACD is very good and I have paired this with the HT-S780 making it a wonderful combo. The only sad part is that it does not play divx..but thats what those cheap players are for. Buy this one and you will not regret it....

A great entry level universal DVD player

This player plays SACD, DVD audio, CD, and Dvd for a reasonable price. The player is heavier then the cheap Dvd players people purchase at the same price point. The picture is great even though it only has component for HDTVs and equals my HDMI upconversion player. Defenitely check it out.

I got this to replace a Sony model that replaced a Mitsubishi model both of which skipped or froze all the time. This device has a clearer picture and I have yet to have a problem with freezeups, even with rentals and old DVDs. Great combo with my new 803 receiver!

Great Deal on B-stock

Reviews of this DVD player say how great it is and I agree. One thing I really wanted was WMA playback and a solid DVD player. I have an Onkyo reciever (602) as well and love it. One caution to anyone ordering B-stock from ShopOnkyo is that they don't come with remote controls. The item said it wouldn't ship with cables and batteries and never mentioned not coming with the remote! Customer service said, "oh yeah, it doesn't come with a remote, do you want to order one?" So I have to wait for that to come and pay another $13. Not a big deal, but it's annoying that nothing was done about it.

The PERFECT all-in-one player!!

I recently bought this all in one player because I wanted something that was able to play anything I threw at it. It also had to be something that would give me great sound. As soon as I hooked this to my reciever I was impressed. The sound it outputs is outstanding and the picture is very good! This is a great player that should fill most people's needs well.

Great DVD Player

I got this at a great price and I couldn't be happier with it. The SACD feature is great, the picture is really good on my 42" Panasonic Plasma hooked up w/components w/progressive scan and the remote and menu are all easy to navigate and use. My only complaint is that the DIVX is actually disabled and that it isn't region free, but for this price and quality, you can't go wrong.
