It is very easy to hook up to my LCD HDTV. The player is great, lots of menu options, being able to boost the dialog in the soundtrack is worth the price of the player alone. The picture is fantastic and sound as well

I got this unit to replace an older panasonic with progressive scan. I was really blown away from the quality of the picture with this versus my old Pany. I have tried components to compare the two and the picture was a 'cleaner'. When I finally got a HDMI cable and was able to tap into the upconverted 720p picture, the picture was even better than I had imagined. Great job Onkyo! This works great with my Hitachi 50V720 rear projection LCD TV.

Great picture, great sound, and a remote control that even I can understand.

It's nice to see that Onkyo continues to offer products that do what they are supposed to do, and do it very well, instead of compromising audio and video quality to add useless bells and whistles.

I bought the Samsung up-conversion player first and the fast-forward / rewind functions were very quirky and hard to control. This players controls are very responsive and fast. This player is definitely superior to the Samsung. It also looks great alongside my Onkyo HT-S790 home theater system. This DVD player shows a beautifully up-converted 720p DVD picture on my new 50' plasma television. I just got done watching The Incredibles and it was unbelievable--the up-conversion makes me appreciate the people who make animated movies even more--what incredible CG graphics.

I recently purchased an HD ready TV and while waiting for Directv to install my new dish and HD receiver, decided to purchase this unit. Installed and ready to go in 5 minutes with an HDMI cable. Popped in a DVD (not HD-DVD) movie and could not believe the quality of the picture.

I must say I am pleasantly surprised with this purchase. I was replacing a $450 DVD player that had reached its lifespan. I paid $135 for this one, and it puts out as good of sound and picture quality. Trust me, I am very particular with sound. I have returned multiple DVD players because their sound was poor. Within 20 minutes, my old player found a new home in my garbage. Don't be fooled by the low price, this is a quality player!

THIS PLAYER IS OWESOME. THE HIGH DEF QUALITY IS FANTASTIC. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE. NOBODY BEATS ONKYO'S EQUIPMENT.
