At $600, this player is a great buy. It's hard finding quality CD players under $1000 these days- players which are optimized for playing CD's only and nothing else to provide the best sound quality. This player has excellent sound quality (awesome 111 dB signal to noise ratio), it's very easy to use, smooth operation, good remote, great classic looks (available in black or silver), it's not made in China, and advanced users can have fun with it as it allows you to change the clock frequency and digital filter rolloff characteristic of the D/A converter, and even the analog output phase. You can even turn off the digital output if you are using the analog output for better sound. Quite simply the best player available under $1000 and probably the equal of many overpriced $2000 players!
