Big Clear Sound

I replaced my old Yamaha receiver with this Onkyo amp, and also got the related tuner and single-disk cd player. I used them with my old speakers while my new ones (Aperion) were arriving, and my reaction was "Wow!" All of a sudden the sound was bigger, clearer, and brighter.

If you're looking for a stereo amp in the $5-900 price range, and care about sound, you won't regret buying this component. It's all it promises to be.

High end sound and great remote

Precise is how I would describe the sound of the Onkyo A-9555. The bass is fast and punchy while treble is crystal clear. Vocals sound incredibly transparent and clean, stereo effect has dead on positioning. The sound is a bit more refined compared to the usual Onkyo HT receivers, which are already very good. Fantastic sounding amplifier for the price. Comes with a great remote as well, probably one of the best Ive used for any amplifier or player. So far the A-9555 is probably the best amplifier Ive listened to at this price, I like it even better than the more expensive Parasound separates I used to own (HCA-1000A Amp and P/HP-850 Pre). They really know what they are doing at Onkyo, definitely follows in their tradition of high end performance and value for the money.

Great Amp, Sound, Quality 2-channel with detail

I got this Integrated Amp from all the great reviews I read from US users and Europe/UK mag reviews. I'm glad I did. It's a great high-end sound amp but at a nice value price with the quality of yester-years build for 2-channel that is very hard to find today. If you are looking for a great quality two-channel amp, this is the one to get, you will be very pleased with it and it has no ear-fatigue in the HF like some other amps, smooth but detailed. You will love it, highly recommended.

and it runs very cool, no over heat issues.

High-End Superb Sound without the High-End Price!!

After reading some very favorable Audio Mag reviews and user reviews, I decided to take a risk and order the Onkyo A-9555 after so many pleased people being very happy with the sound quality! I'm very glad I did! The Onkyo A-9555 still has me in awe of just how great it sounds! I can't believe the sound. I have other expensive gear and this one really proves just how good it is when I compare it to other amps costing many more times what the A-9555 does.

The A-9555 has High-End Audio Sound, it is very detailed yet smoooth, no harsh or brightness, great vocal detail and can project very large sound into a very large room, it's very impressive sound! It projects vocals very well and provides a wide and large soundstage. It is very powerful and proforms like it's a 400watt amp. It is very clean and clear, details are very easy to hear, the bass is accurate and clean with very good punch. I have hard to drive speakers and it is able to really take control with great authority and take over and perform very well. It's transparent and very dynamic. It's amazing the level of detail and performance this Integrated Amp gives! It performs like it was separates! I am very pleased with the Onkyo A-9555 and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a high-end, high-quality 2-channel sound! It is stunning for 2-channel music and even does 2-channel Home Theater very well. Thanks Onkyo for providing us with such an affordable high quality gear with the nice hefty look and weight of yester years! Now if Onkyo will just give the US the GOLD color and the A-9755 model that has two transformers that is only available to other counties but not imported to the US, so very sad! The A-9555 has only one very large transformer but does very well, I found no shortcomings with it. You will be very pleased with the Sound Quality of the A-9555 !!!!!
