First, I have an Onkyo receiver and CD player and by using the RI feature on all three units, it makes operation a snap. I even changed the input on my AVR to "DOCK" and as soon as I press play for the Ipod, the AVR turn on and sets the input to "DOCK". My AVR's remote controls all three units...Nice!

The unit itself is very sturdy and the supplied AV cable was higher quality than expected. All of the cable lengths are more than enough and the dock has a built in support that adjusts to your Ipod to help keep it stable and keeps the Ipod charged while not in use

Onkyo gives you a nice product for the price.

If you have an ipod, this is a must. Works seamlessly with the new onkyo receivers. Easy setup, and charges your ipod!

I had bought other Ipod docks but none of them can compare to Onkyo. The picture is much better than the other docks I used. The menu is much easier to navigate through. For the price this is the better choice.

This was so easy to set up to my 805. Sounds amazing and really simple to use. Definately recommended.

I had to have one of these docks after purchasing my TX-SR705 receiver. I rarely listen to CD's or the radio anymore so this was a must have. So far it has delivered as promised. I have it programmed with my Harmony One remote & use it with the on screen guide. I don't know what I would do now without it?

The dock was simple to set up using the supplied wiring diagrams, and it is very convenient to be able to use my remote and the iPod menus shown on my TV to select and play music. I had one problem when I initially was not able to get the video menu display to show, but Onkyo technical support was very helpful and had my issue resolved in five minutes.
 
THE ONKYO SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS ARE WORTH THE EXTRA $

If you are looking to add a component to your existing Onkyo Receiver/speaker/amp then the DS-A2X is the way to go. I used this product with ONKYO HTSR800 and it was a snap to install and very easy to setup its basic features.

BOTTOM LINE: If you own an iPod, Unless its a 3rd generation iPod which is not compatible with this product, then this is the model to choose.

This unit works wonderfully with my TX-SR705. Finally, a company is pulling it all together. Onkyo seems to have a understanding of how real people actually use certain products. Design is functional as well!
