Great addition to my Onkyo sound system!

I added this to my DR-UN7 and was thrilled that all the remote control functions work and the sound is fabulous! I love being able to use the or timer function and always have my favorite music to go to sleep to or as an alarm. I may get another of these for my living room system.

I have it hooked up to a new TX8522 receiver and is a great addition to my system. Sound is very good and much better than I anticipated. Easy to use with my receiver remote, easy to hook up as well Well worth it!

I like this dock so much I am getting a second unit to work with the Onkyo unit I have in my bedroom. Works great to charge and transmit sound and Photos from my iPod with a color screen. I love that when I dock my ipod and press play my entire system powers up and sound starts coming out, it makes it easy for my wife to dock her iPod (Nano) and listen to music when she wants to. Another great product from Onkyo I hope they come out with a new model that will work with video iPods, that would be perfect!

I was hesitant to buy this product as my experience with IPOD accessories in the past hadn't been good. I tried several FM transmitters and none of them worked right. I bought Onkyo receiver a few months ago and heard about Onkyo RI dock for IPOD but I thought it might yet another product trying to cash in on IPOD's popularity. This one is different. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of sound.It's a great product. Ability to use receiver's remote to control the IPOD is really cool.

Just picked this up from ShopOnkyo.com as a package deal with a TX-SR603X Receiver. The two seem to work well together, making Ipod operation quick an simple. Could benifit from on-screen display.

Even with my older reciever, this unit works great for playing the iPod! The sound is much improved over other "aux in" methods, and charging the battery is an extra bonus.

Connected quickly, set it up in "Tape" mode. I like that it lets you skip songs, skip albums and skip playlists. Much more functionality than most iPod docks.

This is a swell accessory for your iPod and Onkyo receiver. It is a nice quality base, good weight, very stable. It charges the iPod rapidly and all functions work well with my HT-S580 system. It even goes to the next playlist and album! The refurbished unit I got from Shop Onkyo included all cables and even the Nano adapter! It was extremely easy to set up.

This is the perfect device to use with your Onkyo Receiver! If you have a iPod then you must get the DS-A1! If you have a Onkyo Receiver and are thinking about getting a iPod, then here is the perfect reason to jump onto the iPod band wagon. If you are considering what brand receiver to purchase here is another great reason to choose one from Onkyo! Anyway you look at it the DS-Ai iPod Remote Interactive Dock from Onkyo is perfect.

Slick IPOD Accessoriy

I added this component to my Onkyo Home Theater system in our Basement Rec Room. Now while I hit the treadmill, I don't have to wear my headphones to listen to my workout music.

Works great.

One tip ... if you have an IPOD Nano like I do, go to the Customer Service section of the Shop Onkyo website. Under the FAQ section, there's a link to have Onkyo send you an insert (at no charge) that will help your small Nano fit perfectly in the module.

A nice little accessory to complete your home entertainment system. I got this as a bonus for purchasing my new receiver and didn't think much of it at the time, but after seeing home well it integrates your video Ipod and the possibilities, I have to say I am somewhat impressed. First, my iPod (3rd gen 40GB) fits extremely well. There are 'adapters' which are actually support pads - they work better than other adapters I have encountered and not wobbly like the Klipsch iFi I tried.

Second, it is heavier than I expected - another solid piece of Onkyo hardware.

Easy to hook up, and now I can enjoy my iPod with multiple speakers while I am cooking, and change the songs without going through a major process like before.

Good accessory but takes a while to setup

It is a great product. I prefer to use it in the MD mode rather than the TAPE mode (offers several more controls for iPod). But it was not a simple plug and play. I had to program the receiver remote as well, which was actually quite a task. I had to switch between the MD mode and CD mode settings on both the iPod dock and the reciever several times. And then program the remote each time using the supplied RI codes (accordingly for MD/tape/CD). It was complex, but the good thing is it works fine now. MD mode - consistently across all devices. All functions of iPod dock work just fine. Only problem I have - I wish I could see the song/album name displayed on the receiver screen as well.

just hooked up my DS-A1 to my 601 receiver. Works perfectly with the tape function. Nice for my wife, one less remote to worry about. Plan to buy another for the bedroom system. Wish it had on screen display.

The DS-A1 is great...my only problem is that it says that with certain systems you can do things that you can't! But none of those functions are that great anyways...so....the DS-A1 is AMAZING!

DS-A1 Rocks for the Nano

The interface woks great, including some of the higher RI functions like auto off and on as well as the change function to the iPod as it is turned on. The sound quaility is excellent. I only wish that the nano's photo slideshow would work with the interfaces s-video output like the iPod photo. Great device to include the nano with the rest of the entertainment system.

This is a great looking dock that makes charging my ipod a breeze. The sound is amazing coming through my home system with my new 503! Hook up was a breeze.

It's seems like Onkyo did their homework A+ to make a great IPOD interface for use with selected Onkyo products. Besides from being a great product, I found it to be more cost effective in terms of saving money from buying unnecessary accessories such as other universal docks, remotes and Power adapters hook up cables. I would highly recommend this accessory to other ONKYO and Ipod owners.

I replaced an older Sony receiver with a new ONKYO receiver and this little gem. This is the first time I've hooked up my Ipod to an external speaker system, and couldn't be happier! I used the HDD option on the VIDEO3 jacks as explained in the directions....simple to do and great results. I especially like the little glow light shining up on the Ipod when it's docked...a nice little touch.

This little dock works great and sounds even better. It is nice to have at my fingertips all of my music. I usually have ~750 songs and at least one audio book on my iPod Mini at any one time. I have even recently made a playlist for my wife too so she can enjoy our S780 and good tunes. Thank you so much for making it easy to control using the remote from the S780 system!

Really wish I could see iPod interface on TV.

Basic iPod functionality through "tape" controls on remote. Some functions depend on receiver model and model/generation of iPod. What I'd really like to see is the iPod screen/interface on the TV screen via the receiver so I could browse my music using the Onkyo remote.

This is a great little adapter for the price. It would be nice to have a screen interface. I know other brands are planning released for similar products with a screen interface, but the will cost much much more. I am quite happy with the DS-A1
