Onkyo Usage And Purchase Terms and Conditions


"Product" shall mean any item offered for sale on the onkyousa.com or shoponkyo.com web site. Onkyo continually updates and revises Products. Onkyo may revise and/or discontinue products at any time. Changes between what is shipped and what is described in marketing materials (ads, catalogs, specification sheets etc.) are possible. Onkyo products are new unless specified as refurbished. All refurbished products have been fully tested and meet or exceed all original Onkyo specifications. Please note, however, that while these refurbished products represent a tremendous value they may have slight cosmetic imperfections.

Order Acceptance/Acceptance of This Agreement:

All orders of products placed by you with Onkyo shall be subject to acceptance by Onkyo. All orders are subject to review and credit card approval. Notwithstanding any order confirmation or other communications sent by Onkyo, your order shall not be deemed accepted by Onkyo until Onkyo's shipment of the products ordered. You certify and agree that you are purchasing product(s) only for your own personal use and not for resale. Your submission of your order shall constitute your full acceptance of these terms and conditions. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS, PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT AN ORDER.

Payment Terms & Price Confirmation:

Products are priced in US Dollars and are available for sale to US residents only. Reseller prices may vary. Prices do not include any sales, local or other similar taxes. Where applicable, taxes will be shown on and added to your invoice. All such taxes shall be paid by you. Unless otherwise indicated, the purchase price of products will be billed in full at the time of product shipment. Onkyo will charge credit cards upon shipment. Onkyo accepts Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. Onkyo does not accept cash, COD, purchase orders or personal checks. Onkyo payment terms are subject to change without notice at Onkyo's sole discretion. We confirm the price of a product as part of our order processing procedures. In the unlikely event that a price stated on our Web site is incorrect, then the following applies: If the correct price of the product is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and ship you the product. If the correct price of the product is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.

Club Onkyo & Onkyo Points:

Earning Club Onkyo Points - Earn 10 points by becoming a member of Club Onkyo by completing the online registration form. - Earn 5 points when you register your product on our product registration page (limit 5 per year)* - Earn 5 points when you submit an Online Product Review of a product that you have purchased. (limit 3 per year) - Purchase Onkyo products from http://www.shoponkyo.com (US) and http://www.shoponkyo.ca (Canada) and you will receive Onkyo points equal to 5% of the subtotal of your order (not including tax or shipping charges). - If points are being redeemed for an order, the points earned will be calculated on the subtotal of your order. - Participate in Onkyo surveys and promotions and receive points for your efforts. Redeeming Club Onkyo Points - Users can redeem points for purchases over $79.00 made on http://www.shoponkyo.com (US) and http://www.shoponkyo.ca (Canada) - One (1) Point is equivalent to one (1) dollar towards the purchase of Onkyo products. - Points have no cash value. - Users can redeem any quantity of their earned points toward a purchase, not to exceed total purchase price. *You may register products manufactured from 1998 through present and Onkyo will retain all of your registration records in our database. However, OnkyoPoints are only awarded to users who register products online that have been purchased within the last 12 months and for products that come with a one-year or a two-year warranty. Any duplicate and/or fraudulent product registrations will not be accepted and/or will be voided at Onkyo's sole and absolute discretion. Onkyo USA Corporation reserves the right to request valid proof of purchase documentation for any online product registration. No product may be registered more than once. By creating an Online Account you agree to receive periodic promotional materials from Onkyo.

Product Reviews:

Onkyo's Owner Reviews offer our customers the opportunity to share your experiences with our products. Onkyo reads all reviews before posting them and reserves the right to deny any review. Please be advised there is a 1,000 word maximum on reviews. The recommended length is 75 to 300 words. Please follow these guidelines when submitting a review: - Your review should focus on a specific item and your experience with it. - Include not only whether you liked or disliked an item, but also why. - Use of offensive, spiteful or abusive language is prohibited. - Phone numbers, mail addresses, URLs or any self-serving comments will not be posted. - Creating a forum or responding to other reviews will not be allowed. All submitted reviews and written comments become the sole property of Onkyo USA Corporation and may be used at Onkyo's sole discretion. Onkyo reserves the right to remove or refuse to post any submission for any reason. You acknowledge that you, not Onkyo, are responsible for the contents of your submission. Coupons and Promotions:

During the order process, enter your coupon/promotion code in the shopping cart. One coupon per customer. Coupons are not valid with any other coupon offer, promotion or prior purchases. Coupons and Promotions are issued with expiration dates,or until inventory is depleted. Each coupon and promotion has different requirements and discounts. Dollar-off coupons may have minimum purchase amounts. Percentage-off coupons may have maximum dollar values. All requirements must be met to receive your discount. Some coupons are valid only on certain products. Dollar-off or percentage-off coupons are applied to the merchandise subtotal before any shipping charges or taxes have been applied. If you cancel or return item(s), this may change or void coupon discounts applied to your order. This happens when the cancellation or return causes the merchandise subtotal (before any shipping charges or taxes have been applied) to fall below the minimum requirement. If you return an item that was purchased with a coupon, you will be refunded only the amount you paid (that is, the price of the item, less the coupon value). Coupons and Promotions are not valid where prohibited by law.

Warranty Policy:

Onkyo makes no warranties except those stated in the Onkyo warranty cards included with the products, or, in the case of optional extended warranties issued by Onkyo, such extended warranty documentation. All refurbished (Factory Reconditioned) products carry a 1-year limited warranty from date of purchase. All other terms of Onkyo's Limited Warranty shall apply.

Return Policy:

Onkyo products, including any refurbished (Factory Reconditioned) products, if purchased directly from ONKYO may be returned to ONKYO for a full credit or exchange within 30 days of your receipt of shipment if you are not completely satisfied for any reason. All products returned to Onkyo must be returned prepaid in original factory carton and in re-saleable condition, together with all manuals, accessories and parts. Customers returning an opened product that is missing any items will be charged for such items. All returned products must have a Return Authorization Number (RA#). You must apply for a RA# by calling 800-229-1687. Please state your order number, model number and reason for return in all correspondence with Onkyo's customer service department.

Packaging A Return:

-Please write RA# on shipping label provided with your order. -Pack the product in its original packaging with all original contents. -For your protection, we recommend you insure your shipment. -Your return will not be accepted without the RA# clearly marked on the shipping label.

Shipping Policy:

Product prices do not include shipping and handling. Products can only be shipped to USA addresses. We ship most in-stock orders within 24 hours. Orders received after 2:00PM EST will be processed the following business day. If you live within the 48 contiguous states, you should receive your order within 7 to 10 business days. Free ground shipping on remote controls, owners manuals and extended warranties or any other purchases totaling $99.00 or greater in the continental United States only. Hawaii and Alaska are considered domestic orders but have different delivery times and applicable rates and cannot be shipped via Ground service. We use both UPS and FEDEX for shipments. In the event of product damage or loss during transit, it is your responsibility to file a claim with the carrier. We do not ship to APO/FPO U.S. military addresses. If some of the items in your order are temporarily out of stock, we will ship the available items and place the others on back order.
